Sometimes our pets need a little bit more than just "medicine" to make their lives, and yours, the best they can be. Whether you need help getting some weight off your pet, helping them get around easier or addressing behavioral problems, we want to help you and your pet have a long, happy life.
That's why we continue to explore and expand progressive care like nutritional consultation, rehabilitation, behavior consultation and more. Coming in June 2011, we are expanding our services and opening the new Veazie Animal Wellness & Rehabilitation Center.

Our rehabilitation team began for pets that have had orthopedic surgeries and will soon be expanding to include therapy for pets with arthritis, dysplasia and other debilitating diseases. Similar to human physical therapy/rehabilitation, we work towards helping your pet return to mobility.
You can learn more about our rehabilitation services at our Wellness Center website: www.veazieanimalwellness.com
Veazie Veterinary Clinic and the Veazie Animal Wellness Center offer some of the area's most comprehensive breeding and reproduction services. From the day you start to consider the possibility of breeding, our staff can consult with you about the appropriate testing and the steps required to responsibly breed your dog.
We offer semen collection and evaluation, fresh chilled and frozen shipping and storage as well as surgical and side by side insemination. Follow up care after breeding includes pregnancy ultrasound, radiographs and caesarian section if needed. Call to schedule your consultation with Dr. Keene today. Many types of cancer can be treated, or the quality of life improved, with chemotherapy. The decision whether or not to go forward with cancer treatments can be a difficult one and is one made by the owners with support from doctors.
Dr. Julie Keene can consult with you about the different chemotherapy drugs and give you information about the best course of treatment for your pet.

Obesity is becoming an increasingly common & serious health problem, not just in humans, but in their pets. Studies indicate that an average of 25-35% of dogs and cats in the US are seriously overweight. We can help you determine the type and amount of food your pet needs to maintain a healthy weight, along with providing you with suggestions for increasing their activity & exercise levels.

Our veterinarians are well-versed in canine and feline behavior. We believe in fostering the human-animal bond and helping you keep that bond with your pet. Before you decide to give up on your canine or feline companion, consider setting up a consultation to address the particular problems you are having.
Often we can help you establish a better relationship by understanding what is causing your pet to act they way they are, and by giving you the tools you need to correct the problem before it results in having to make a difficult decision.
This another service you can learn more about at our new Wellness Center website!
