What Our Clients Are Saying

At Veazie Vet, our doctors and staff strive to foster the doctor-patient-client relationship as much as we do the human-animal bond. We develop long term relationships with many of our clients as we help them through their pet's illness, watch their puppies and kittens grow and help them through their companion's senior years.

Often staff members build strong bonds with patients and their owners in the course of their care, as well as careful attentiveness to clients and ongoing cases. We genuinely love our patients and we think it shows in the care we give. So do many of our clients!

What Our Clients Are Saying

From Sadie Jennings on Face book:

I am super impressed by the quality of care that your facility strives for. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and really seems to genuinely care about the clients and their animals. Thank you so much for taking care of Shadow and making his teeth pearly white!

An e-mail from Melissa, Jesse and Mable:
Mable had a pericardectomy No matter how many times we thank you, it will never be enough. We are so grateful to you all for the amazing care that Mabel received and for your expertise and compassion. What would we have done without you?

Every day of the last ten years of our lives with our girl has been special to us, and you have given us more time together. Although that time may be limited, we view every day as an extra special gift and we will always be grateful to Veazie Vet for each and every one of them.

Despite us not having been previous clients and coming to you with a dire situation, we felt that there was someone by our side the entire time. We will always remember the kindness of the client care team each time they greeted us at the door; when Ashley came upstairs with a big smile at the end of surgery to tell us that Mabel had made it through; the comfort that we received from Marisa, who was sitting with Mabel after surgery; Jessie and Heather being there for us at the fabulous Wellness Center; Autumn showing us dog massage, which helped a lot; the constant moral support that we received from office manager Julie; the willingness of everyone to answer our endless questions; the helpful information that we received from Dr. Keene, who we know we will be speaking with again soon; and of course Dr. Cloutier saving her life when not many others could have. When others may have said that they did not know what was wrong, or that there was nothing to be done, you took immediate action and she is here today because of that.

At every level, our experience with Veazie Vet was outstanding. Thank you so, so much to everyone for being there and for doing what you do so well. We now trust only Veazie Vet for Mabel's care, and we will see you again soon.

An e-mail From Tim Roach:

In October of 2010, my Great Dame, Millie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a bone disease that is virtually always fatal.  I was told by a leading cancer vet that because of the advanced stage of the disease, Millie had at most 2 to 4 months to live and that during that time Millie would be in a lot of discomfort.  He strongly recommended amputating the leg to alleviate the pain.   Millie could not walk on the leg, was losing her appetite and seemed to be losing her will to live.  I wanted to give her the best quality of life in the short time she had left.  I took Millie to Veazie Veterinary Clinic in Veazie, Maine to see Dr. Julie Keene.   I also brought Millie to see a holistic vet, Dr. Lee Herzig, Full Circle Holistic Veterinary Clinic in Belfast, Maine.  Working with both western and eastern medicines, Dr. Keene and Dr. Herzig turned Millie’s condition around.  Millie regained the use of her leg, became playful again, regained her appetite.  We started going on short “strolls” with her sister Molly again.  There is no cure for Osteosarcoma.  All we can hope for is to give our “best friends” the best quality of life.  Dr. Keene and Dr. Herzog did that for Millie. Millie lost her battle with Osteosarcoma on August 1, 2011, more than 10 months after she was given no more than 4 months to live.  Most important, she had a great, happy, virtually pain free 10 months.  I want to thank, with all my heart, Dr. Keene and Dr. Herzig, and their wonderful staffs for giving Millie what I wished for, and what she deserved … quality of life.

From Lauren, Bill, & Dakota Errickson:

On behalf of my husband and myself, I wanted to express our deepest thanks for the incredible care Dakota, our Siberian Husky, received at your facility July 7th and 8th.  The promptness, courtesy, and most of all compassion and kindness with which we were treated at your clinic left me feeling exceptionally comfortable with and confident in Dr. Cloutier and his team (especially Autumn, who worked most closely with us).  I especially appreciated being permitted to accompany Dakota every step of the way for his initial visit, dental cleaning, and surgery; seeing exactly what he experienced has not only educated me as a pet owner but also allowed me to give him the most appropriate after care that I could.

From Cheryl Knight MacKenzie on  facebook: "Couldn't be more pleased; well worth the travel from New Brunswick, Canada"

From Aimee on facebook: "We love Veazie Vet. The dogs don't realize they are having an exam, they just know that Dr. Keene is loving them, and playing with them on the floor. Those are the least stressful dog exams I have ever seen."

Shyla Mae GarlandFrom Marsha on  facebook: "My name is Shyla Mae and I am known as the boxer that swallowed an octopus. Thank goodness they found it in my intestines when I was getting fixed. Veazie Vet is the BEST!"

From Mary on facebook: "Thank you Veazie vet for all the wonderful work you do.Thank you for taking such good care of our girl Tippa/Baylie yesterday. She is resting comfortably on her chair. You guys are all AWESOME!"

From Andrea on facebook: "Thank you so much for the thoughtful card with Oreo's paw print. Thank you for helping us have 6 wonderful years with him."

From Donna on facebook: "Buster just had CCL surgery on January 5 and it is only four days later and already he is well on his way to resuming his swimming and diving routine for this coming summer. Thanks to Dr. Cloutier and the staff at Veazie Vet, our boy is well on the way to a full recovery."

From Andrea on facebook: "This post sure hit home with me. When the time came to euthanize Derby less than two months ago, I put my trust into Dr. Keene and the staff at Veazie Vet. It is such an emotional decision and they guided me every step of the way in a caring and professional way. Thank you."

From Christine on facebook: "Thank you to Dr Keene and all the staff for caring for Maggie and making her well again! She is doing much better, almost back to 100%. We appreciate the kindness and compassion that you gave to all of us! We are so greatful."

From Beverly on facebook: "Thank you Dr. Keene and the rest of the staff for all the help you gave me at the most difficult time I've had with my Millie. No matter how clear or sensible the decision is to make it is heartwrenching and I thank you for your comforting words. You truly are one large group of very caring individuals."

From Erica on facebook: "On behalf of all the staff at BHS, I just wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU to you guys for helping us with our housecat, Frannie last Friday. Dr. Keene, in particular, thank you for fitting us in at such short notice and treating her with such care. The whole scenario is etched in all of our heads and we go back to work with heavy hearts, but if it had not happened we would have never known she was so sick. We lost a member of our BHS family, and that wound will never heal, but we know that she's in a better place now. Thank you again for everything.♥"

From Debbie on facebook: "Just wanted to thank Dr. Keene and the staff for the great care of my kitty Isabel this morning. I had a very scary experience with Isabel this morning and Dr. Keene was so comforting and patient with me and helped me come up with the best decision for treatment for Isabel!! Thank you again!!"

From Debi on facebook: "What a great group of people. We have been very glad for their help over the years. :o)"

From Annie on facebook: "Veazie Vet Clinic is one of the best places. They were honest about my dog being okay without surgery to the pelvis. They were right...the muscles around the bone kept everything together and now, two years later, he's a healthy chihuahua. He doesn't even limp at all. Thank you, Veazie!"

Gilbert & GertieFrom Melissa on facebook: "To everyone at VVC, thanks so much for your great advice, compassion, and care. Gertie & Gilbert couldn't be in better hands for vets... Wanna open a satellite office in Alaska? (This photo is from a trip thru Badlands National Park in South Dakota!)"

From Leona on facebook: "love you guys-Our Tasha wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you"

From Kala on facebook: "To the staff at Veazie Vet, thank you all so much the care and concern that you extended my kitty, Katie, and myself through this difficult journey. I appreciate all that you did for us as she and I "fought the good fight". You all will hold a special place in my heart just as she always will."
