In August of 1988 the Veazie Veterinary Clinic opened. It began with a vision of providing the best medical care possible, in an environment that was comfortable for both patients and their humans. Clients were encouraged to ask questions, allowing owners to make important health care decisions, not having decisions made for them.
In April 1992 Dr. David A. Cloutier joined the practice. His idea of state of the art medical care mirrored the practice's and his professional interests were complimentary.
The practice soon outgrew the building and in 1995 an expansion was undertaken. Doubling the work space enabled us to more effectively and efficiently practice the high quality medicine our clients have come to expect.
In 2005 Dr. Michael C. McCaw joined the practice. His caring style has quickly made him popular with clients. Dr. Julie Keene joined the practice in 2006. Her intelligence and heart have helped her fit in wonderfully.
In 2006 Dr. Cloutier purchased the practice in full. The clinic's philosophy continues to include encouraging and challenging the support staff to actively participate in the practice. This has resulted in having an extremely competent and knowledgeable health care team.
In February 2011 Dr. Cloutier purchased the Always Flowers building next to the clinic. In the spring of 2011 this building will become Veazie Animal Wellness & Rehabilitation Center, an expanded facility for our progressive services like rehabilitation, chemotherapy and canine reproduction.
